Increase new customer growth by streamlining delivery of quality custom proposals. Your role leverages deep industry experience to set initial event strategy and builds systemic efficiencies for proposal responses, revisions, pricing estimation and contracting.    You support the sales team to qualify and improve overall efficiency of proposal delivery by proactive management of supplier database, analyzing costing data projected vs. actual, and constant monitoring to create efficiencies in the process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serves as key liaison between event services, creative services and sales team to set proposal strategy and corresponding pricing. 
  • Designs, delivers and develops the pricing for services and product delivery plan for all SHW proposed events. 

  • Delegates during peak times vendor components to event managers and coordinators and monitors completion and documentation to meet targeted deadlines.

  • Reviews Creative Services proposals to insure content aligns with pricing and costs for events.

  • Manages proposal pricing revisions.

  • Optimizes the supplier engagement process for vendor holds, releases and firm bookings until transition to events team.

  • Oversees the supplier database content information and annual tariffs implementation.

  • Supports sales in preparation of site inspection details and confirmations. 

  • Hours Estimations and staffing optimization.  Understands how to estimate the number and type of resources required to efficiently deliver a myriad of events. (Small VIP dinners, Large conferences, incentive groups, employee engagement, etc.)

  • Facilitates turn over meetings from proposal stage to event services team.

  • Provides administrative support to sales team for contract oversight and SOW creation. 


Education and Qualifications: 

  • Minimum 10 years corporate event management or destination management experience

  • Minimum 5 years as Lead Event Manager

  • Certified Meeting Planner or Ability to demonstrate corresponding Skillset

  • Strong financial acumen and 5+ years’ experience in budget management of events in excess of $3M

  • Seriously strong attention to detail

  • Highly Proficient in Microsoft Office suite products

  • Highly Proficient Salesforce Data Management Tool, or similar product

  • Bachelor of Arts or Science Required
