The service of leveraging local knowledge, unique connections and event expertise, to design your extraordinary custom program for conventions, associations and high profile gatherings.
Our vision began in 1978 with founders Linda and Larry Granat. Their passion for delivering the quintessential Seattle program with the highest service standards is evident throughout our culture. We hire the best in the business, and design quality custom events. While our roots are in Seattle destination management, the rapid growth of our corporate event services has led us to provide destination management services throughout the globe.
We'll design and deliver an experience that is nothing short of extraordinary. Our innovative approach to custom program design, in combination with our owner’s connection to venues as unique as the Seattle Space Needle, Chihuly Garden & Glass and Cedarbrook Lodge help us deliver an “insider experience” with every program. Our sister company, MTR Western, is the largest transportation provider in Washington. It’s great to have friends in the motor coach business, and our passionate event designers are creative transportation planners and masters of logistics. Seaplanes, trains, tugs, trolleys, submarines, private yachts, or motor coaches – SHW will deliver the experience of a lifetime.
H.S. Wright III, Owner and Marka Waechter, CEO of Seattle Hospitality Group are both passionate Seattle natives who delight in supporting our team in building custom and creative destination management programs. Together, they bring "inside access" to unique experiences, fabulous spaces, and unknown places which truly define the difference of an SHW program. Their leadership reinforces high service standards and encourages the team to imagine the 'surprise and delight' of exceeding our customer's expectations with every program we deliver.

American Legends at EMP Museum
Why settle for 15-minutes of fame, when guests can spend an entire evening getting the star treatment? SHW’s event specialists were inspired when Electric Power Research Institute came to us for their event planning opportunity.
The evening began at the Bellevue Hyatt, where guests were greeted by lavishly dressed models and presented their VIP Stage Pass granting access to the party of a lifetime. Guests boarded motorcoaches and were escorted in style to EMP Museum. Upon arrival, the paparazzi and other media personalities lined the red carpet as guests entered the soiree like stars.
Once inside guests joined a lively cocktail hour and mingled with costumed look-a-likes, from “Legends” like Judy Garland and Elvis Presley to Mick Jagger and Lady Gaga. Sips and snacks were provided as the pre-dinner treats while DJ Don spun tunes through the decades.
When the time was right, the high-energy Master of Ceremonies, Kevin Joyce, announced dinnertime. When he did, Kevin lifted the floor-to-ceiling curtains to reveal a stunning setting with silver linen adorned tables glistening in the lights of the ice-carved crystal lanterns. Guests were escorted to their tables by the Legends as they began their delectable three-course dinner service.
The entertainment continued through dinner with movie clips playing on an 80-foot tall high-definition screen as DJ Don accompanied the clips with music from the 40’s to the 80’s. Attendees enjoyed performances from celebrity look-a-likes, including: a tap dance from Fred Astaire, Marilyn Monroe accompanied by flying aerialists, and Lady Gaga singing "Poker Face".
Following dinner Joyce announced the swingin’ local band High Street. Guests danced, enjoyed lively music and got a commemorative Rolling Stone cover photo.
