Seattle, Washington - SHWorldwide, Seattle’s longest-running corporate meeting and event solutions company, recently announced a reorganization to position the company for growth.
The organizational changes help to fulfill the shared vision of CEO and Partner, Marka Waechter and Chairman and Founding Partner, Howard Wright – to become the best-in-class choice for global meeting and event experiences. The new leadership team will focus on streamlining the company’s client services and deepen partnerships with vendors and the industry. The company has also made adjustments to its business development and marketing functions to broaden the partnership between SHWorldwide and its sister companies within the Seattle Hospitality Group (SHG) family.
Lorie Thomas has assumed a new role as Senior Vice President (SVP) of Event Services for SHWorldwide. Under Thomas’s leadership, SHWorldwide will continue to expand its services and increase its focus in developing breakthrough strategic meeting management solutions for corporate clients. Thomas brings 20 years of corporate event delivery, most recently as Director of Events, Tradeshows and Incentives at Concur Technologies, and held previous positions at Opus Agency and Microsoft.
Lisa Fraser, a 17-year veteran of SHWorldwide, takes on a new role as Senior Vice President (SVP) of Industry Relations and Special Events. The new position will leverage Fraser's long-standing industry relationships among hospitality vendors. She will oversee venue management and site selection, special events and supplier relations. Lisa has the distinction of being a Mayor Appointed Citizen Representative for the City of Seattle Special Events Committee, assisting in the permit approval process for all special events in the city.
Brett Robertson steps into the role of Director of Corporate Strategy & New Business Development for SHG. In this new function, Robertson will focus on identifying new acquisitions to enhance the SHG portfolio and streamlining business development opportunities and value adds for customers over the enterprise of SHG. A CPA, Robertson previously was partner at BrunswikSt, and worked for Robert Half Management Resources, and WDS. In his spare time, Robertson teaches accounting and finance at City University.
Maura Hoss serves as Chief Marketing Officer, overseeing marketing initiatives across the SHG enterprise. Concurrently, she will drive a new venture for SHG focused on helping growing companies move people from point-to-point while alleviating their traffic impact. Prior to working with SHG, Hoss spent 10 years in communications for various divisions at Microsoft and was a strategic marketing consultant for many years.
