Before SHW, I… spent most of my professional life with BECU where I gained extensive experience in business operations and information technology. I have enjoyed everything from starting up and growing departments, to business planning, budgeting, contract negations, vendor management and process improvements.

If I could travel anywhere in the world it would be… difficult to name just one place as travel in general is exciting and rewarding! A world map hangs in our home that records our travels. Although the pins that note where we have yet to experience are plentiful, we have high hopes.

Over a cup of tea, we could talk about ­the art of growing bonsai’s, Tai Chi and how beautiful the Pacific Northwest is due to our mountains, water, wilderness, and (yes) rain. You would learn that I had a monkey as a child and married my husband at 18 years of age. We celebrated our first wedding anniversary at an Alaskan fisheries plant where we worked to pay for college. Our son has given us two beautiful grandsons who we spoil as much as possible.
